I have not known a day when he is not playing for India.

You made a great point regarding our childhood being associated with him. However, he is associated with the Boyhood much more.

I read some beautiful lines somewhere. It said that Indians just cannot accept that Sachin is getting older. For them, he is still a boy of 16 years. They want time to spare Sachin and gift him eternal youth. This is so true :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01053978233599049273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3078689038749498480.post-45012536322289420912011-04-30T22:24:44.698+05:302011-04-30T22:24:44.698+05:30good blog but it's t-20 format.try next time o...good blog but it's t-20 format.try next time one day format.

Few quotes from TIME magazine:

When Sachin Tendulkar travelled to Pakistan to face one of the finest bowling attacks ever assembled in cricket, Michael Schumacher was yet to race a F1 car, Lance Armstrong had never been to the Tour de France, Diego Maradona was still the captain of a world champion Argentina team, Pete Sampras had never won a Grand Slam.

When Tendulkar embarked on a glorious career taming Imran and company, Roger Federer was a name unheard of; Lionel Messi was in his nappies, Usain Bolt was an unknown kid in the Jamaican backwaters. The Berlin Wall was still intact, USSR was one big, big country, Dr Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy.Onkar Dankehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06124761175220859109noreply@blogger.com
