Helping hand at the time of calamity in Assam!

Hello. These days, the monsoon is almost synonymous with a calamity. Continuous floods and excessive rain are creating massive losses. Recently it has created havoc in Odisha and Assam. In Assam more than 80 people have died and lacs of people are displaced. After climate change and global warming, such calamities are only going to increase in the future. Therefore those who can should help others. Seva Bharati Poorbanchal is doing relief work in Assam and the work of this organization is known to my relatives. It is working at many places and they are distributing food items, drinking water, ration kits, sanitation kits, blankets, clothes, necessary medicines etc. I have made a small contribution. You also can contribute whatever easily possible for you. You can contribute to this work or work of any other organization known to you.

It is time to be aware about natural and man made calamities.

- If such a situation arises in our place, what would we do?
- How can we help others and who will be helping us then?
- Which skills are vital in such situations?
- How can people from our area be trained for the same?
- Can we strengthen a group for this purpose?

आपत्तीच्या वेळी‌ आसामला मदतीचा हात!

नमस्कार. पावसाळा हा सध्या जणू आपत्ती काळ झाला आहे. सतत पूर आणि पावसामुळे होणारं नुकसान. आसाम आणि ओदिशा राज्यांमध्ये जास्त नुकसान झालं आहे. आसाममध्ये ८० पेक्षा जास्त लोक मृत्युमुखी पडले आहेत आणि लाखो विस्थापित आहेत. वातावरण बदल आणि जागतिक तपमानवाढीनंतर अशा आपत्ती भविष्यात अधिक प्रमाणात येणार आहेत. त्यामुळे अशा वेळी ज्यांना शक्य आहे त्यांनी इतरांना मदत केली पाहिजे. आसाममधील माझ्या परिचितांच्या माहितीतली संस्था- सेवाभारती पूर्बांचल सध्या अनेक ठिकाणी मदत कार्य करत आहे. त्यांच्याद्वारे खाद्य पदार्थ, पेय जल, रेशन किटस, स्वच्छता साधनं, कपडे, ब्लँकेटस, वैद्यकीय साधनं अशी मदत केली जात आहे. मी माझ्या बाजूने त्यांना छोटी मदत केली आहे. आपणसुद्धा आपल्याला सहज शक्य असेल अशी मदत ह्या संस्थेला किंवा आपल्या माहितीतल्या दुस-या मदत करणा-या संस्थेला करू शकता.

नैसर्गिक आणि मानव निर्मित आपत्तींसाठी आपण सजग राहणं गरजेचं आहे. 

- आपल्या भागात अशी वेळ आली तर आपण काय करू?
- आपण इतरांना कशी मदत करू शकतो आणि कोण आपल्या मदतीला येऊ शकतात?
- अशा वेळी कोणती कौशल्यं उपयोगी पडतात ह्यावर विचार करू.
- अशी कौशल्यं आपल्या परिसरातल्या लोकांना कशी मिळू शकतात?
- आपल्याला त्यासाठी एखादा गट उभा करता येईल का?

ह्यावर विचार करावा आणि सहज शक्य असेल ती मदत आपल्याला योग्य वाटेल त्या प्रकारे करावी ही विनंती. धन्यवाद.
