Experiment 35. Self- blooming flower

Cut old newspaper and make some flower shape like star shape. Cut the paper in such a way that flowers with six or eight petals will be formed. Make such three flowers. Fold them. All the petals will be closed and folded. Now keep these flowers in water. After keeping them in water, after some time the petals of the flowers will open up. The flowers will automatically bloom. Paper is made up of stem of plants containing capillary tubes and water transport tissues. They transport water. As the paper is also made up from the plants, the paper too contains them. When water enters these tissues, they expand and as a result, the flower automatically blooms. This experiment is taken from Maha- Shikshan youtube channel of Shri. Kishor Borphale sir.

Activity 35. Metal floating on water

Show a demonstration that two metallic objects float on water. Think, why they float on water? Recall our experiment about floating on water. Remember buoyancy or upthrust.


प्रयोग 35. आपोआप उमलणारे फूल

वृत्तपत्राचा कागद कापून स्टार शेप प्रमाणे काही फुलांचे आकार तयार करा. सहा किंवा आठ पाकळ्या होतील असा कागद कापा. अशी तीन फुलं तयार करा. त्या पाकळ्या दुमडा. सगळ्या पाकळ्या दुमडलेल्या असतील व फूल बंदिस्त होईल. ही फुलं पाण्यामध्ये ठेवा. पाण्यावर ठेवल्यावर थोड्या वेळाने आपोआप फुलांच्या पाकळ्या उमलतील. कागदामध्ये वनस्पतीच्या खोडामधील केशनलिका व जलवाहिन्या असतात. जलवाहिन्या पाणी नेण्याचं काम करतात. आणि वनस्पतींपासून कागद बनवला असल्यामुळे कागदामध्येही त्या जलवाहिन्या असतात. जलवाहिन्यांमध्ये पाणी गेल्यामुळे त्यांचं प्रसरण होतं व फूल उमलतं. हा प्रयोग महा- शिक्षण युट्युब चॅनलवर श्री. किशोर बोरफळे सरांनी सांगितला आहे.

गंमत 35. पाण्यावर तरंगणारा धातु

पाण्यावर धातुच्या दोन वस्तु तरंगतात ह्याचे प्रात्यक्षिक दाखवा. त्या का तरंगत असतील ह्यावर विचार करा. आपण पाण्यावर तरंगण्याबद्दल एक कृती आधी‌ केली होती. ती आठवा. तरंगशक्ती (प्लावकता Buoyancy or upthrust) आठवा.
