Experiment 21. Automatic bursting of balloons

We will play with the balloons. But we will do one trick. Get an orange or lemon. Cut its skin and extract some drops by pressing the skin hard. These drops are very vital. When you release a drop on an inflated balloon, when the drop touches the wall of the balloon, shortly the balloon will burst. You do not need to apply any force by your hand! Just you need to place a drop of this liquid on the wall of the balloon! Do with your friends and show them this magic! But why this happens? This happens as the liquid in citrous fruits immediately dissolves the balloon wall and thus makes a small hole! So the balloon bursts! Try, do it and show it! Also, think about other ways to burst the balloons without touching them.

Activity 21. Using balloon pieces!

When you burst a few balloons, there will be pieces of balloons. Now think, what you can do with them? In a very simple way, you can stretch them and inflate them to make small balloons which can be used to create some sound or gently hit your friends. Think of some other ways. Can you make a rubber band from it? Can you do some craft or decoration out of it? Try, do and share!

प्रयोग 21. आपोआप फुटणारे फुगे

आपण फुग्यांसोबत थोडं खेळूया. त्यासाठी एक ट्रिक करूया. एक संत्र किंवा लिंबू घ्या. त्याची साल कापा व सालीवर दाब देऊन त्यातल्या द्रवाचे थोडे थेंब गोळा करा. हे थेंब फार महत्त्वाचे आहेत. जेव्हा तुम्ही असा एक थेंब फुग्यावर सोडता, तेव्हा लगेचच फुगा फुटतो. तुम्हांला बोटसुद्धा ठेवावं लागत नाही किंवा जोर द्यावा लागत नाही! फक्त त्या द्रवाचा एक थेंब फुग्यावर सोडा, बस्स! मित्रांसोबत हे करा व हात न लावता फुगे फोडण्याची तुमची ट्रिक त्यांना दाखवा! पण हे का होतं? हे होण्याचं कारण म्हणजे त्या द्रवामध्ये फुग्याचं रबर लगेचच विरघळतं व फुग्यामध्ये एक बारीक छिद्र तयार होतं व तो फुटतो! प्रयत्न करा, हे करा व इतरांनाही दाखवा! आणि स्पर्श न करता फुगा फोडण्याचे इतर कोणते मार्ग आहेत का, ह्यावरही विचार करा.

गंमत 21. फुग्याच्या तुकड्यांचा उपयोग!

फुगे फुटल्यावर आता बरेच तुकडे असतील. त्याचं आपण काय करू शकतो? विचार करा. अगदी सोपी गोष्ट म्हणजे ते ताणून व त्यात हवा भरून तुम्ही छोटे गोळे बनवू शकता. त्यामधून थोडा आवाज होईल व तुम्ही तुमच्या मित्रांवर त्याचा वार करू शकाल. अजून काही उपयोग करता येईल का ह्यावर विचार करा. त्यापासून तुम्ही रबर बँड बनवू शकता का? तुम्ही त्यापासून काही क्राफ्ट किंवा सजावट बनवू शकता का? प्रयत्न करा, करून पाहा व शेअर करा!
