Experiment 17. Long sprouts of potato

Potatoes need moisture and sunlight to develop sprouts. When potatoes are kept for long time, they develop sprouts. Remember, potatoes are stems. We do not eat fruit or flowers or leafs of this plant, but its stem. In this experiment, we will grow potatoes with long sprouts. Prepare a box with two small windows at one side. The box should be long. Keep a few potatoes inside the box at the dark side, opposite from the windows. Observe “eyes” of the potatoes. Apart from the two windows, the box should be dark and closed. Keep the window in the direction of the light coming from outside. After some days, the potatoes will develop sprouts and they will move towards the window as they get feed from the light. They can also develop a long tubular.

Activity 17. Jumbled words

Find meaning of these words- Locsh, nidan, dustne. These are jumbled words. Re-arrange these words and make proper words! Also you can form jumbled names. For example, Peeda is a jumbled form of Deepa. Also Jeshra is a jumbled form of Rajesh! Make such words and play with them. Now, prepare maximum words by using these alphabets- netusd. Examples- Student, used, net, to, dust etc.


प्रयोग 17. बटाट्याचे लांब जाणारे कोंब

बटाट्याला कोंब येण्यासाठी दमट वातावरण व सूर्यप्रकाशाची गरज असते. बटाटे खूप काळ तसेच ठेवले, तर त्यांना मोड येतात. बटाटा हा कंदमुळाचं खोड आहे हे लक्षात ठेवा. आपण त्या वनस्पतीचं फळ, फुलं किंवा पानं नाही तर खोड खातो. ह्या प्रयोगामध्ये आपण लांब मोड येणारे बटाटे पाहू. एक लांब खोकं‌ घ्या. एकाच बाजूला त्याला दोन छोट्या खिडक्या करा. खिडकीच्या उलट बाजूला काही बटाटे ठेवा. बटाट्याच्या "डोळ्यांचं" निरीक्षण करा. दोन खिडक्या सोडून बाकी खोकं बंद व अंधार असलेलं हवं. त्या खिडक्या प्रकाश येणा-या दिशेला ठेवा. काही दिवसांनी बटाट्यांना कोंब येतील व ते खिडकीच्या दिशेने असतील. प्रकाशापासून त्यांना पोषण मिळत असल्यामुळे त्या दिशेने कोंब फुटतात व वाढतात. त्याची लांबलचक वाढसुद्धा होऊ शकते.

गंमत 17. बेशिस्त अक्षरे!

ह्या शब्दांचा अर्थ शोधा- Locsh, nidan, dustne. हे जंबल केलेले म्हणजे क्रम मोडलेले शब्द आहेत. त्यांचा क्रम बदलून योग्य शब्द तयार करा. Peeda हा क्रम बदलून लिहीलेला Deepa शब्द आहे. तसंच Jeshra हा Rajesh चा जंबल केलेला प्रकार आहे. असे अजून शब्द तयार करा व त्यांच्यासोबत खेळा. शकाप्रर्यसू हा कोणता शब्द आहे? “लावरआ डाबकों" ह्याचा अर्थ काय होतो? आता ही अक्षरे वापरून शब्द बनवा- dustne. उदाहरणे- Student, used, net, to, dust etc. “आवरा" शब्दातली अक्षरे वापरून वर, आरा, राव, रव, आव असे शब्द बनवा. वेगवेगळी अक्षरं घेऊन हा खेळ खेळा!
