Experiment 25. Observation of flowing water

In the last experiment, we make holes to a bottle and observed when the water pours out and when it does not! Now we will observe one more thing. We need to have three holes at different height of the bottle. If you had done them, use the same bottle. Or take another old bottle. Make three holes at three different heights. Fill the bottle completely. Now when the lid is closed, water does not flow! But we want to observe its flow. So open the lid. Now water will pour out. But in different ways! Flow of water coming out depends on the height of the hole. That means pressure of the water column determines length of the flow. The hole where water has maximum pressure will pour water to longest distance! Relate this here- If you are staying at first floor or second floor on a multi- story building, tap water in your house will have more force than your friend staying at sixth or eight floor! Due to this very reason, lower floors need to use pressure control tools!

Activity 25. Memory game

For this, you need five or more persons. If possible, get 10 persons. Even elders can participate, it is very easy! Game is like this- The first person will say one word. The second will again say that word and add his own word. The third person will say first two words and add his or her third wor and so on! For example- I say Water, Ramesh says water, bottle. Reena says water, bottle and napkin. Isha says water, bottle, napkin and paper. Raj says water, bottle, napkin, paper and dish. Like this! Remember to remember and also remember to enjoy!


प्रयोग 25. वाहणा-या पाण्याचं निरीक्षण

आधीच्या प्रयोगात आपण एका बाटलीला छिद्रं करून त्यातून बाहेर येणारं व न येणारं पाणी बघितलं! आता आपण अजून एका गोष्टीचं निरीक्षण करू. त्यासाठी बाटलीमध्ये वेगवेगळ्या उंचीवर तीन छिद्रं करावी लागतील. जर तुम्ही‌ तशी छिद्र आधी केली असतील, तर करायची गरज नाही. तीच बाटली वापरा. जर तशी केली नसतील तर दुसरी जुनी बाटली घेऊन वेगवेगळ्या उंचीवर तीन छिद्रं करा. बाटली पाण्याने भरा. जेव्हा झाकण बंद असेल तेव्हा पाणी वाहणार नाही! पण आपल्याला त्याचं निरीक्षण करायचं आहे. म्हणून झाकण उघडा. आता त्यामधून पाणी बाहेर पडायला लागेल. पण त्याचं स्वरूप वेगवेगळं असेल! बाहेर किती जोराने पाणी येतं हे छिद्राच्या उंचीवर अवलंबून असतं. म्हणजे पाण्यावर किती दाब आहे ह्यानुसार पाणी किती बाहेर येईल हे ठरतं. जिथे पाण्याचा दाब सर्वाधिक असतो- सर्वांत खालच्या छिद्रावर- तिथून पाणी सर्वाधिक लांब येईल! समजा तुम्ही एका उंच इमारतीत पहिल्या किंवा दुस-या मजल्यावर राहात असाल, तर तुमच्या घरात नळाला असलेला पाण्याचा जोर हा सहाव्या किंवा आठव्या मजल्यावर राहणा-या तुमच्या मित्रापेक्षा जास्त असेल! ह्याच कारणामुळे खालच्या मजल्यांना दाब नियंत्रणासाठी व्यवस्था करावी लागते!

गंमत 25. लक्षात ठेवायला लक्षात ठेवा!

ह्या खेळासाठी पाच जण लागतील. 10 जण मिळाले तर उत्तम! मोठेही खेळू शकतात, अगदी सोपा खेळ आहे हा! खेळ असा आहे- पहिला जण एक शब्द म्हणेल. मग दुसरी व्यक्ती तो पहिला शब्द म्हणेल व स्वत:चा दुसरा शब्द म्हणेल. त्यानंतर तिसरा पहिले दोन्ही शब्द सांगून त्याचाही तिसरा शब्द सांगेल आणि हे पुढे चालू राहील! उदाहरणार्थ- मी पाणी म्हणालो, रमेश म्हणेल पाणी, बाटली. रीन म्हणेल पाणी, बाटली, नॅपकीन. ईशा म्हणेल पाणी, बाटली, नॅपकीन आणि कागद. राज म्हणजे पाणी, बाटली, नॅपकीन, कागद आणि काच! असं! लक्षात ठेवायचं लक्षात ठेवा! आणि एंजॉय करायचंही लक्षात ठेवा!
